This information pertains to the 2024 Convention.

We understand that there is concern among some attendees about the ongoing monkeypox outbreak.

As of this time, we do not expect that this will impact our ability to have the convention in person. We also do not expect that this will cause us to change our public safety policies currently in place.

The CDC’s current guidance suggests that you are not at risk unless you are in close, physical contact with infected individuals. You can visit https://www.cdc.gov/poxvirus/monkeypox/response/2022/index.html for more information, and if you believe you are in a high-risk group, we recommend you follow CDC guidance and get vaccinated.

If you are currently showing signs of monkeypox, including fever, headaches, muscle or back aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, exhaustion, congestion or visible rashes, we request that you remain home and do not attend the convention.

Similarly, as a reminder, if you are showing any signs of COVID infection, or are still within the quarantine period of a COVID infection, we ask that you stay home, as well.

You can always direct message us with any questions about this issue or any other issues related to the convention.
